You are not here to provide valuable input.
Oh I see, you still think I was "Martin Loomis" don't you?
Given that Martin was a *real* poster, and even if he wasn't a *real* poster
what was wrong with the answer I gave to a "gear recovery" question?
From Martin's first thread on "gear recovery" you can see that a lot of
drivers have problems with "gear recovery." The following was taken from a
reply to topper:
There was a thread a few days ago on "Gear Recovery" by Martin.
Someone named Mueller gave a *perfect* answer, but Mueller's answer was over
3 years ago. It was:
"25 MPH @ 1500 RPM = 7th gear in a ten spd"
How do we now Mueller's answer would have worked for Martin also? Because
of the "Step Chart" that Martin would post later.
It shows a "ten spd" with the exact same ratio Mueller used.
I replied to Martin's post with:
rev the motor to 1500 RPM and then put it into these gears:
10th at 60 mph
9th around 44 mph
8th around 33 mph
7th around 25 mph
Thank god there are posters on this newsgroup that will help a poster with a
"Gear Recovery" question instead hammering someone that gave a working
answer with remarks like this:
realtytrasher: "He's been trying to pass himself off as a truckdriver for
years but the regular posters here saw thru his charade very early on"
tscottme: "Ignore all messages from the person"
Popeye: "He's a Psychostalker sans pesonality or purpose of life."
Gashauler: "That would be the smart thing to do. Just read what the group is
Now imagine that we are all on CB radios and Martin was starting down the
Grapvine. He has a Mansur truck that can not be revved over 1500 RPM so
that means after his speed increases to 60 MPH there is no way he will ever
be able to get it into gear..
With all the bitching on the CB radio above, does anybody think that Martin
got it in gear before it was too late? We might not ever know because he
hasn't said a word on the CB radio since.
Moral of the story is. If someone can answer a question, let them, don't
bitch about your personal opinions. GEEZE.
Even if I can't answer all the questions on this newsgroup, I can answer
